Odyssey Dance Theatre announces its
2017-2018 Company Auditions
Odyssey Dance Theatre (Salt Lake City, UT) is casting its 2017-18 season.
Founded and directed by Broadway, Ballet West, Film and TV veteran Derryl Yeager, ODT is a professional Jazz/Ballet Company that has spawned some of the best dancers today, including Thayne, Matt, Natalie, Brandon, Gev, Tadd, Marcquet, Tanisha and Hailee from the popular “So You Think You Can Dance” television show.
Odyssey has many performance opportunities including three home seasons in Salt Lake City with over 30 performances, plus a European Tour in the Spring.
Odyssey is looking for strong male and femaile Jazz/Ballet dancers between the ages of 18-29 who can also do Hip-Hop and Tap. Available contracts include: a one-show contract for the fall production of the Halloween spectacular Thriller (runs Sept 1 to Nov. 1st), and/or the entire season (runs Sept.-April/May 2017).

(Dancers must all be there at 12 noon)

600 East 650 South
Salt Lake City, UT 84102
You can park in the free parking across from the 600 South Entrance. Don’t park in the Trolley Square Lots. The studios are directly behind Sam Weller Books, so enter from 600 South, and turn to the left after you pass the bookstore. Go down the long service hallway, and the first opening on the left is the door to the studios.
(Auditions will be held in Los Angeles and New York City during the summer. Dates, times and locations TBA.)
Dancers should be prepared to dance Ballet, Jazz/Contemporary, Hip-Hop, and Tap combinations that will be taught to them at the audition.
Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Contemporary styles, please bring clothes and shoes appropriate for each style.
Bring pix & résumés, stapled together. Both contracts are paid positions with salary ranging from $300-$700/wk (depending on experience), including per diem, travel and lodging.
ODT is Nonunion.
It is preferable to have dancers audition in person, but if you are not able to make one of these auditions, video submissions will be accepted if they are posted online or sent on DVD. Submissions will be accepted up until July 22nd. Videos (plus a headshot, resume, and a full-body dance shot) must include a dance combination in each of the following forms: Ballet, Jazz/Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Tap.
